Kyle Drake is coming in from Saint Paul, filling in for the absent F Scott Fitzgerald. But it’s not all bathtub hootch – he has over 9 years experience writing web applications, back when MySQL was so unstable you had to write custom restart scripts for it. Originally a PHP developer with a side-hobby of unix kernel hacking, he now works with Rails and has built countless projects for clients large, small, and very far away. His warp speed hacking skills gave him the nickname “The Closer”, and come March 1st, he’ll re-affirm that reputation.
Ryan Kucera returns from his long journey through asia’s booming tech world to show America what he’s got. Like Bruce Wayne, he wields an array of skills, but he’s able to hold it all together with a desire for diplomacy and clear communication. When the pace and complexity of work starts to build, he’s in the middle of it keeping trajectories aligned. His 10 years in the industry has brought him around the globe and into every role.
Dave Bucklin from Marcy Holmes knows quality when he sees it, and creates it faster than you can blink. Dave Bucklin puts the “rock” in “database design” – yeah, you might not think its in there, but he’ll prove otherwise. Businesses across the country have grown and conquered alongside Dave’s uncommonly capable skills.
Michael Christenson is taking a break from major projects with London companies to prove himself on the stomping grounds. Speaking of gods… Arik Jones is a master UI and web designer, and works with multiple companies around the nation. Some of his projects include the site design for Cooking on Rails, and a host of other cool stuff. When he’s done, the competition’s going to be embarassed to even submit their results.
